Cost

A UK Bachelors degree can take only 3 years to complete while a postgraduate Master’s courses takes only 1 year – compared with four years for a Bachelors and 2 years for a Masters in most of the other countries. This means you will save a great deal on both tuition fees and living costs – and you will be able to start working and earning earlier than you expect. UK degree courses are shorter because they are more intensive, and therefore more efficient in terms of your time and money. All Institutions have a different fee structure for local and International students. If you were a British National you tend to pay of the tuition fees compared to the International students.

An approximate fee structure for International Students:1(Pound) = INR 85 Approx.

Accommodation

All the international students studying Undergraduate / Post Graduate courses are normally guaranteed accommodation for the first year in University / College halls of residence. The charges would vary from 80 pounds per week to 150 pounds per week, depending on the University / College in the UK. The Universities / Colleges have their own deadlines for accommodation booking which students must meet if they require the accommodation to be arranged by them.

Permanent Residency

A student needs to convert their student visas into a Tier 2 Work Permit. This is possible only if the student is able to get a confirmed job with an employer in the UK. Moreover the Employer would have to apply for the students work permit. Usually the work permits are issued for duration of 60 months.

Once you have legally stayed in the UK on a work permit for duration of 60 months or more, you would be able to convert your visa into an indefinite leave or a permanent residency visa.
